Vehicles Seized for Violating Chhattisgarh Livestock Protection Act

The Collector and District Magistrate of Rajnandgaon, Sanjay Agrawal, has ordered the confiscation of two vehicles for violating the Chhattisgarh Livestock Protection Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The action was taken based on a report submitted by the Superintendent of Police.

Confiscated Vehicles and Owners

The following vehicles were seized and confiscated in favor of the government:

  • Truck (Registration No: MH 40 CD 4753) – Owned by Amol Kamalakar Agale from Nagpur, Maharashtra.
  • Maruti Car (Registration No: MH 31 FX 4438) – Owned by Salman Khan from Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Legal Action and Auction Process

  • The 30-day review period for filing an appeal against the confiscation has expired.
  • No orders were received from the competent court regarding the vehicles.
  • As per regulations, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) will assess the vehicle value.
  • The seized vehicles will be auctioned, and the proceeds will be deposited into the Chhattisgarh government’s designated fund.
