Assistant Commissioner Lekhraj Meena Pays Surprise Visit to Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh

In an unannounced inspection, Assistant Commissioner Lekhraj Meena from the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office Bhopal, visited PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh to review the school’s infrastructure and ongoing preparations for upcoming sports events.

During his visit, Meena closely examined various campus facilities, including the sports ground, gymnasium, mathematics park, science park, and the Krishna Kunj. He interacted with staff and offered valuable suggestions to improve readiness for the sports meet. His visit reflected the administration’s commitment to holistic development in residential schools under the Navodaya Vidyalaya system.

The Assistant Commissioner also paid a spiritual visit to the revered Maa Bamleshwari Temple, praying for the well-being and prosperity of all students and staff.

School Principal Rupendra Singh and Vice Principal Sanjay Kumar Mandal expressed that such surprise inspections not only ensure accountability but also provide essential motivation and direction. Faculty members O.P. Chaurasia, Sneh Agrawal, Anil Kumar Paul, Uma Dhurve, and others were present during the visit.

The inspection was seen as a motivating force for the institution, encouraging further improvements in academics, extracurriculars, and infrastructure management.

Ambedkar Jayanti and Social Harmony Day, a district-level programme was held in Rajnandgaon with participation from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma via video conferencing. The event featured the signing of MoUs between 40 Gram Panchayats and CSC service providers for setting up Atal Digital Panchayat Centres. A special housing survey under the Awas Plus 2.0 scheme will be conducted from April 15 to April 30 as part of the “Mor Duwar, Sahay Sarkar” campaign. Officials and dignitaries paid homage to Dr. Ambedkar, recited the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, and reflected on his contribution to social justice, women's empowerment, and constitutional governance.

13,500 करोड़ रुपये के PNB घोटाले के प्रमुख आरोपी मेहुल चोकसी को बेल्जियम के एंटवर्प में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। भारत सरकार की अपील पर 11 अप्रैल 2025 को हुई गिरफ्तारी के बाद चोकसी जेल में बंद है और स्वास्थ्य कारणों का हवाला देकर जमानत की कोशिश कर रहा है। चोकसी के वकील भारत में जेल की अमानवीय स्थिति का हवाला देते हुए संजय भंडारी केस का उदाहरण दे रहे हैं, जिसमें लंदन की अदालत ने भारत प्रत्यर्पण से इनकार किया था। चोकसी ने यह भी तर्क दिया है कि उसे अभी तक भारत सरकार द्वारा 'भगोड़ा आर्थिक अपराधी' घोषित नहीं किया गया है। चोकसी की कोशिश है कि भंडारी केस के आधार पर उसे भी बेल्जियम से भारत प्रत्यर्पित न किया जाए।

13,500 करोड़ रुपये के PNB घोटाले का मुख्य आरोपी और भगोड़ा हीरा कारोबारी मेहुल चोकसी को बेल्जियम के एंटवर्प शहर में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। भारत सरकार की अपील पर 11 अप्रैल 2025 को उसे हिरासत में लिया गया। चोकसी ने जमानत के लिए स्वास्थ्य कारणों का हवाला देते हुए याचिका दायर की है, लेकिन भारत सरकार उसके प्रत्यर्पण की कोशिशों में तेजी से जुटी हुई है। चोकसी के खिलाफ मुंबई कोर्ट के दो अरेस्ट वारंट पहले से ही जारी हैं। इस घोटाले में उसका भतीजा नीरव मोदी भी आरोपी है, जो फिलहाल लंदन में है।
