Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure, a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, formally took charge as the new Collector of Rajnandgaon today. A medical graduate (MBBS) by qualification, Dr. Bhure chose to enter public service through the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination and has since built a strong reputation for efficient governance and developmental focus.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Collector in key districts such as Durg, Mungeli, and Raipur, earning praise for his thoughtful and result-oriented approach to administration. Dr. Bhure is widely recognized for his hands-on monitoring and timely review of government-led development schemes, ensuring effective implementation at the grassroots level.
He succeeds Sanjay Agrawal, who has been transferred to Bilaspur as Collector. The swift transition of responsibilities between the two officers highlights a rare level of administrative promptness and coordination.
