Four Teachers from Rajnandgaon Selected for National Science Skill Development Workshop in Pune

Marking a significant achievement for the education community in Rajnandgaon, four educators from PM Shri Atmanand English Medium Schools have been selected to participate in a prestigious national-level Skill Development Workshop. The workshop will be held from April 27 to May 2, 2025, at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune.

The selected teachers include:

  • Mr. Sandeep Kumar Verma, Lecturer, PM Shri Atmanand English Medium School, Dongargaon
  • Mrs. Pooja Bhargav, PM Shri Atmanand English Medium School, Dongargarh
  • Mr. Nikhilesh Jamulkar, PM Shri Atmanand English Medium School, Chhuriya
  • Ms. Lekha Sahu, PM Shri Sarveshwardas Atmanand English Medium School, Rajnandgaon

These educators are part of a 132-member team of lecturers from across the state who will travel to Pune under the leadership of State Assistant Nodal Officer of PM Shri Schools, Mr. Ashish Gautam, on April 25.

This selection not only signifies individual excellence but also brings prestige to the respective schools, the district, and the state. It reflects the growing impact and recognition of Rajnandgaon’s educators on the national academic stage.

The workshop is designed for selected science teachers from across India and aims to:

  • Strengthen scientific thinking among educators
  • Introduce innovative teaching methodologies
  • Encourage the use of advanced educational technologies
  • Inspire students through modern scientific awareness

Participants will engage in in-depth discussions, expert lectures, hands-on experimental activities, and group workshops led by renowned scientists, researchers, and subject specialists. The sessions will cover key disciplines including physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and earth sciences.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into simplifying complex scientific concepts and be introduced to cutting-edge research methodologies, equipping them to inspire the next generation of scientific minds.

This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the PM Shri School network and the Chhattisgarh government to promoting excellence in science education and professional development for teachers.

Newly Commissioned 33/11 kV Substation in Kanhardabri to Benefit Over 1,600 Rural Consumers

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) has energized a newly constructed 33/11 kV substation in Kanhardabri village under the Dongargarh subdivision. Built at a cost of ₹2.92 crore under the Chief Minister’s Power Infrastructure Development Scheme, the substation is expected to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted electricity supply to approximately 1,625 consumers across eight villages. The facility was inaugurated by Executive Director Shri Shirish Selat in the presence of senior engineers and project officials.
