Rajnandgaon (BTI)– The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again secured a resounding victory in the second phase of the ongoing three-tier Panchayat elections in the district. In the Chhuriya Janpad Panchayat, BJP-backed candidates have won 18 out of 25 seats, securing a clear majority in the council. Additionally, the party has claimed all three Zila Panchayat seats in the region, leaving the Congress with no representation.
According to a press release issued by the BJP media cell, party president Mr. Rajput stated that just as the Congress faced a severe defeat in the urban body elections, the party continues to struggle in the ongoing Panchayat elections as well. In the first phase, BJP had won three out of four Zila Panchayat seats and secured a majority in the Janpad Panchayat. Similarly, in the second phase, BJP candidates dominated all three Zila Panchayat seats in the Chhuriya region.
Mrs. Beeram Bai won by a margin of 9,000 votes, Mr. Gopal Bhuarya secured victory with a lead of 10,000 votes, and Kiran Ravindra Vaishnav triumphed with a margin of 6,000 votes. The winners expressed their gratitude to the public for their overwhelming support.
Mr. Rajput further stated that BJP is confident of achieving a sweeping victory in the third phase as well, particularly in Dongargaon and Dongargarh regions, where party workers are putting in their best efforts to ensure success.
