(Extreme Of Cyber Crime)
A Poison to Greedy People
**BTNI Exclusive**
Since yesterday, I have been seeing on Facebook and other social media platforms that India’s Finance Minister, Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, appears in an interview or a speech, claiming that the Indian government has launched a platform for investors. According to the viral video, by investing at least ₹21,000, one can earn an attractive daily profit.

This video is undoubtedly influencing and luring India’s common and poor people. It looks so original and convincing that even someone like me almost fell for it. I followed the link and reached the “Register Yourself” page. However, before proceeding further, I decided to fact-check it. What I found was a red alert.
It became clear that no country’s head or finance minister would ever make such a claim. The way this video has been created is an advanced AI-generated deception, a powerful illusion meant to trap people. For greedy individuals, it is as dangerous as a deadly poison.
India has a population of 1.4 billion, and even if a tiny fraction of people fall into this trap, soon, we will hear news like:
“Common Indians or poor people lost crores and billions of rupees.”
“Thousands of people became victims of cybercrime.”
“A fake viral video looted thousands of poor individuals.”
“Greed is a terrible thing”—this old Hindi proverb warns us that greed is a harmful habit that can lead people into trouble. The essence of this saying is that when a person desires more than necessary, they often take the wrong path or create problems for themselves. It teaches us that contentment and self-control are always better, and we should all embrace this wisdom.
