Water Conservation Pledge Taken, Digital Initiatives Announced

On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, a district-level program was organized at the Mahila Jeevika Kendra in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district, marking the day as Social Harmony Day. The event commemorated the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, with floral tributes and reflections on his contributions to social justice and equality.
The program began with garlanding Dr. Ambedkar’s statue, followed by tributes to his legacy in social reform and the drafting of the Indian Constitution. Public representatives highlighted his tireless efforts for the upliftment of Dalits, backward communities, and the marginalized.
In a symbolic gesture of constitutional commitment, attendees collectively read out the Preamble of the Constitution, affirming their dedication to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The gathering included citizens, government officials, and elected representatives.
A major highlight of the event was the announcement of the upcoming Atal Panchayat Digital Seva Kendra, to be inaugurated on April 24, 2025, as part of Panchayati Raj Day celebrations. An MoU was signed between gram panchayat officials and CSC (Common Service Center) providers for the initiative.
Beneficiaries were also briefed on the special survey campaign under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and the upcoming “Mor Duwar Sahi Sarkar” mega drive scheduled from April 15 to April 30, 2025. Water conservation remained a key focus, with detailed information shared about groundwater levels and pledges taken for rooftop rainwater harvesting.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma addressed the gathering virtually, emphasizing unity, rural development, and the importance of Ambedkar’s vision in today’s society.
The event saw the presence of key dignitaries including Zila Panchayat President Smt. Gaind Kunwar Thakur, Sushila Bhandari, Jayant Thakur, Yogendra Signe, Gamita Lonhare, SP Yashpal Singh, DFO Dinesh Patel, CEO Bharati Chandrakar, SDM Hemendra Bhuarya, and ASP Pitambar Singh Patel, among others.
