Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure conducted a surprise inspection of the District Hospital and chaired a meeting of the Jeevandeep Executive Committee, where he issued a series of crucial directives aimed at overhauling hospital operations and elevating patient care standards.

Dr. Bhure underscored the need for efficient and compassionate healthcare, instructing the hospital staff to treat patients respectfully and ensure no individual faces inconvenience during their treatment. Emphasizing medical support, he directed that medicines must be made available in sufficient quantities within the hospital so patients are not forced to purchase them externally.
In terms of diagnostics, the collector ordered MRI services for inpatients to be facilitated through private institutions until in-house facilities are upgraded. He also reviewed the oxygen supply system, directing the use of the hospital’s oxygen plant for all patients and ensuring its proper maintenance.

The collector noted dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and disorder within the premises, calling for immediate improvements in sanitation. He instructed for swift tendering and installation of laundry machines and timely execution of all necessary hospital repair works, including the renovation of toilets and better maintenance of X-ray facilities.
Amid rising summer temperatures, Dr. Bhure emphasized keeping water coolers functional in all wards, ensuring hydration for patients. He also suggested assigning dedicated staff for cooler maintenance. The dialysis unit, pathology lab (HAMAR Lab), isolation ward, OPD, sonography room, and Jan Aushadhi Centre were all inspected for service quality.
Highlighting the importance of welfare measures, the collector instructed hospital management to ensure Ayushman Bharat scheme benefits are extended to all eligible patients. Additionally, nutritious meals must be provided to inpatients on time, and the hospital’s cycle stand should remain free of charge, with security personnel assigned to maintain order.

Dr. Bhure also took updates on pending dues and instructed to issue notices to those who have not paid facility rent. During the visit, he personally interacted with several patients, including one from Bhandarpur village, who praised the treatment experience, and a Mitanin from Kotarsarar, who confirmed that her group of four patients received adequate care.
The inspection was attended by several key officials, including Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, Civil Surgeon Dr. U.S. Chandravanshi, WCD District Program Officer Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur, and executive engineers from PHE and PWD departments, along with other members of the Jeevandeep Committee.
