"(Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation Elections)
- No Of Female Voted – 51,281
No Of Male Voted – 48,891
Rajnandgaon (BTI) – In the elections held yesterday for Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, 2,390 more women exercised their voting rights compared to men, demonstrating greater awareness. One possible reason for this could be the state government’s Mahatari Vandan Yojana, along with the fact that the number of female voters is higher than male voters.

According to data received from the Rajnandgaon Public Relations Office, the voter turnout in the 51 wards of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation was 74.12%. Among them, 75.20% of men, 73.12% of women, and 100% of third-gender voters cast their votes. The total number of voters under Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation is 1,35,151, out of which 1,00,174 exercised their voting rights. This includes 48,891 out of 65,016 male voters, 51,281 out of 70,133 female voters, and both third-gender voters casting their votes.
Trends from past elections indicate that women voters have shown a preference for the BJP, and considering this pattern, the party’s chances of winning here appear stronger.
