Three Deputy Collectors to Assist in the Process

Rajnandgaon(BTI) – The District Collector and Election Officer, Sanjay Agrawal, has appointed officials for the upcoming vote counting process of the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation Elections 2025, scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025. The counting will be conducted at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee Hall in Basantpur, Rajnandgaon.
As per the official order, Joint Collector Khemalal Verma has been designated as the Returning Officer for the process. He will be assisted by three Deputy Collectors, who have been assigned specific responsibilities at different counting tables:
Prakash Kumar Tandon (Deputy Collector) – Tables 1 to 13, including postal ballots
Shilpa Devangan (Deputy Collector) – Tables 14 to 26
Saraswati Banjare (Joint Collector) – Tables 27 to 39
Sheetal Bansal (Joint Collector) – Tables 40 to 51
The Agricultural Produce Market, which also served as the vote counting center in the previous municipal elections, is located along the Rajnandgaon-Manpur Mohla-Chandrapur State Highway.
Given the expected surge in traffic on the counting day, the police department has implemented special traffic control measures. Barricades have been placed at strategic points to manage the flow of interstate and local vehicles, particularly those heading toward Dongargaon, Ambagarh Chowki, and Bandha Bazar. Authorities are ensuring that security and traffic management remain top priorities to prevent any untoward incidents.
