Rajnandgaon (BTI)– The Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is a divine discourse meant for the welfare of mankind, guiding individuals towards truth and peace. On the inaugural day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha held at Shri Agrawal Bhavan, Vrindavan Dham, renowned storyteller Pt. Arpit Bhai Sharma stated that the happiness derived from the material world is temporary, while the Katha grants spiritual tranquility to the soul.

He emphasized that the Katha frees the mind from worldly attachments and immerses it in the nectar of divine love. The Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is the embodiment of God’s sacred words, offering stability to the soul. Pt. Arpit Bhai also highlighted the significance of motherhood in attaining the Supreme, declaring that a mother is the living manifestation of Supreme Brahman in the entire universe. Hence, everyone must worship and serve their mother with devotion.
Drawing parallels, he said that just as the Bhagavad Gita answers Arjuna’s queries, the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha resolves King Parikshit’s questions about life and death. “Like betel leaf turns red when mixed with catechu, listening to Krishna’s Katha fills life with divinity,” he explained.
Concluding the discourse, he reiterated that worldly pleasures are fleeting, but the nectar of the Katha bestows liberation (Moksha). God relieves all three forms of suffering — physical, mental, and spiritual — while the Katha inspires virtues for the welfare of all beings.
