Aruna Singh Raises Rebel Banner from District Panchayat Ward No. 7
(Municipal and Panchayat Elections 2025)
Rajnandgaon/Khairagarh (BTI)- The BJP is facing challenges in the upcoming panchayat elections as discontent brews within the Rajput community. The party’s decision not to grant tickets to any Rajput candidates has sparked resentment. In response, Aruna Singh, a former BJP worker from Khairagarh—considered a stronghold of the Rajput community—has rebelled and entered the election as an independent candidate.
The Rajput community had demanded tickets from the BJP in various municipal and panchayat constituencies. However, the party allocated even unreserved seats to OBC candidates, sidelining general category leaders and workers. The consequences of this decision will unfold in the future.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, Aruna Raju Singh stated that the BJP has ignored the general category, particularly the Rajput community, despite their long-standing support for the party. Frustrated with this neglect, she has decided to contest as an independent candidate and is actively campaigning.
Karni Sena’s state vice president, Kushal Singh Rajput, also criticized the BJP, stating that the party has overlooked the Rajput community despite their continuous support. He warned that this issue would soon be addressed at a larger level, and a collective decision would be made to unite the community for future actions.
