Swami Gorakhnath Inspires Students at Gayatri Vidyapeeth with Workshop on Yoga and Life Management

In a spiritually uplifting event, Gayatri Vidyapeeth, a well-regarded institution in Rajnandgaon, welcomed Swami Gorakhnath from Munger, Bihar for a special workshop on Yoga and Life Management. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of classes 6 to 12, who listened intently as Swami ji imparted invaluable life lessons rooted in yogic philosophy and Indian culture.

Introducing the revered speaker, school secretary Mr. Gagan Laddha highlighted Swami ji’s decades-long association with the Satyananda Yoga Ashram, noting his continued dedication to spreading the principles of yoga and disciplined living, even at the age of 75.

Swami Gorakhnath addressed students on how to live a purposeful life, the role of values and discipline, the path to achieving mental focus, and the significance of connecting with one’s cultural roots. He explained that yoga and meditation are essential tools for controlling anger, conserving energy, and attaining success. Emphasizing daily habits, he advised students to rise early, maintain a balanced diet, and chant the Gayatri Mantra 11 times each day to enhance memory and mental clarity.

He also reminded students of their duties as learners and the importance of cultivating humanity and empathy. His engaging talk was filled with relatable examples and practical tips, making it easy for students to grasp and apply in their daily lives. Inspired by the session, students pledged to follow his advice with sincerity.

The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Swami ji by Principal Mrs. Shailaja Nair and Mrs. Pinky Khandelwal, including spiritual literature, a coconut, and a ceremonial stole.

The event was made possible through the guidance and support of the Gayatri Shikshan Samiti, including President Shri Brijkishore Surjan, Vice President Shri Rajesh Jain, Mrs. Sandhyadevi Singhal, Secretary Shri Gagan Laddha, Joint Secretary Shri Nikunj Singhal, Chief Trustee Shri Suryakant Chitlangya, Patron Shri Nandkishore Surjan, Mrs. Sushma Surjan, Cultural Head Shri Harish Gandhi, Mrs. Rupali Gandhi, Academic Director Shri Amit Uttalwar, Administrator Shri Anil Bajpai, and other dedicated educators like Vice Principal Mrs. Rashmi Thakur, Mrs. Vandana Dumbhare, and School Manager Mr. Taranjeet Singh Tuteja.

The session was a shining example of how spiritual wisdom can deeply influence young minds and inspire them towards a healthier, value-based life.
